No-Fee 25 Minute Consultation
I offer a free 25-minute phone consultation to anyone considering working with me. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions that might help you decide whether I’m the right counsellor for you.
It’s also a chance for us to explore what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to work toward.
If I feel I’m not the best fit to support your needs, I’ll let you know and do my best to refer you to someone who may be a better match.
I offer in-person sessions on Saturdays between 9am–4pm at my downtown Vancouver office. Virtual and phone appointments are also available during the week.
Counselling Fees
-
Individual Counselling (60 minutes): $130
-
Couples Counselling (75 minutes): $150
Longer sessions are also available upon request for an increased fee. You can explore these options and view current availability through my Jane App Booking Site
Fees are due prior to each session unless another arrangement has been made. Receipts are issued following each session, unless direct billing is arranged through a third party (e.g., Crime Victim Assistance).
Your session fee includes: time spent in direct counselling, preparation and documentation, consultation to ensure high-quality care, professional development and training, and administrative costs necessary to maintain a responsive and ethical private practice.
Sliding Scale Options
I recognize that financial barriers and systemic inequities can make accessing counselling more difficult. To help reduce these barriers, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots.
Priority is given to individuals facing financial hardship, including:
-
Members of historically marginalized communities, including 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) individuals
-
Refugees and refugee claimants
-
People with disabilities
-
Single parents and caregivers
-
Students and those navigating precarious employment
If you feel a sliding scale option would support your access to counselling, please reach out to discuss what may be possible. My goal is to offer flexibility while ensuring the sustainability of my practice.
