What does individual counselling look like?

I have been providing one-on-one  counselling services for the past thirteen years primarily in a clinic setting.   I can meet with you in person, virtually, or over the phone to collaboratively work with you to address the problems that bring you to therapy.  Areas of focus can include and are not limited to:

  • substance use
  • severe anxiety
  • sadness and depression
  • post traumatic stress disorder
  • effects of systemic injustices and violence.
  • behavioral addictions
  • tolerating and managing difficult feelings such as anger
  • managing stress
  • major life transitions
  • grief and loss following the death of a loved one and can also include loss of a relationship, status, a job
  • relationship conflict
  • coping with burnout

"The paradox of trauma is that it has both the power to destroy and the power to transform and resurrect."

-Peter Levine

I work with people from a variety of spiritual, religious, non-religious,  cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and those who identify as 2SLGBTQIA ( Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual ) as well as people with disabilities.
